Tuxedo Junction Rescue, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity.

Saving a sweet cat  from death in a shelter, or from a painful and dangerous life on the street 
is a wonderful and fulfilling job – but besides love and caring, it takes money!  

Many of the animals we take in, either from shelters or as strays, come to us with medical
problems that must be treated with costly veterinary care before they are ready to be
adopted.  (At times we have had veterinary bills for a single cat exceed $1600!)
And a perfectly healthy cat still requires vaccinations and
spay/neuter surgery before adoption.

We are able to keep our overhead costs low because 
the rescued cats live in a dedicated rent-free facility next to our home.
We take no salary of any kind and neither do our volunteers.
But even with these savings, routine costs such as food, litter, veterinary, and other cat supplies
(like flea prevention treatments) add up when there are multiple cats.  
Our average cost  per cat as of 9/28/08 is $233.22, 
but we continue to keep our adoption fee at $125.00


This is where caring people like YOU and your friends come in!

benefit the rescue cats and will enable us to continue saving lives!
