Each of these wonderful adults is looking to you for a loving home.....

Kittens can be fun
but they grow very quickly and you cannot
be sure what a kitten's adult personality will be.
Spencer says "I'm fun and lovable and I need a home, too!"

Many people overlook Steven,
but he's looking for a true home of his own

Take a look inside our facility

Why don't you have more cats for adoption?

Tuxedo Junction Rescue is a small self-supporting facility. We believe it is better to have fewer cats who get adequate attention than to house a large number who would receive much less human contact. This allows us to know each one as an individual and better place them with the family who fits them best.

We have a special building for the foster cats with rooms built to mimic a home environment in order to make them feel at home and make a transition to a permanent home easier for them. We don't mix our foster cats with our own cats or the sanctuary cats in order to keep the stress levels down for all concerned.

We strive to spend quality time with the cats throughout the day and give each one individual attention. We also have volunteers who spend time with them. Some of our foster cats had a traumatic time before they arrived here, either as strays who never had a family to love them, or perhaps being abandoned or dumped at a shelter by their owners.

All cats spend a minimum of two weeks in quarantine to be sure they are healthy and happy before they are considered as an adoption candidate. (Quarantine means just separated from other cats - they still get plenty of attention !)

Keeping both our foster and sanctuary cats well cared for is our top priority. Because our resources are limited, we must also limit the number of cats to ensure we have the means to provide the best care for them in terms of proper nutrition, sanitation, enrichment and veterinary treatment.
